SHARENITURE

There is a wise African idiom that says, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together". When I first heard these words, it struck me. Such deep meaning, encapsulated in several words, left me to ponder. Isn't it true that we all seem to be in such a hurry? We want results but we want them now. We desire for a meaningful relationship but we won't do the inner work required for such a gift. We yearn for a successful project but we throw in the towel upon the first strike of failure. It is clear that any great work, let alone our life's work, requires an incredible amount of patience and support from others. 

 

In a world that is hurrying to acquire more for the self, we have forgotten that deep meaning is rooted in giving to the Other. Shareniture is a community of people committed to giving to this Other. We walk together to promote the spirit of sharing, compassion and companionship. The spirit of sharing, compassion and companionship is to forsake our own selves to this Other. In so doing, we go through the maturation process of the intention to give unconditionally. 

 

This blog stands as a testament to those ideals by amplifying the vibration of hope and inspiration to the world. We hope to tell the stories of everyday people and reveal how they find the inner strength to overcome their struggles. We hope to unveil the real issues that largely go untold. In so doing, we want to be the change we wish to see in the world. Join our "Shareniture Giving Community" group and give something away.
