Humans of Shareniture #1

"I became pregnant when I was 25 years old before marriage. My husband and I got married a year after we had our first baby. Our baby boy is now 4 years old. I decided to stop working at a cleaning company with my mother to take care of him.

Recently, my husband got released from jail. It's been over a year already that he was inside. I'm very thankful that I got some support and get grocery vouchers.

But many of my own family members said "Serves me right". I simply ignore them because we are trying to have a new life and they only want to criticize us.

I'm now 8 months pregnant with my son and i already have a name for him. Even my 1 room rental house costs so expensive $80 a month. I don't know how to support my current 4-year old son and the one I'm pregnant with.

This Hari Raya i don't expect a celebration. Maybe someone out there will help us. But I know that I just have to be patient, help will come". - Mdm Su. We're sharing stories of our recipients with hopes that we can bring a sense of awareness to the lives of Singaporeans from all walks of life, regardless of race or religion. We hope that through these real stories we can move towards helping one another and supporting one another instead of criticizing each other.
