"I'm 28 years old this year and my husband is 30. I have 7 children. The eldest is 10 years old, the second is 9 years old, the third is 7 years old, the fourth is 6 years old, the fifth is 3 years old, the sixth is 2 years old and the youngest is 6 months old.
Before we moved into this house, we were staying in my mother-in-law's home. We've been here for a year plus. I was looking through the blessings page and found the Shareniture page. I tried to queue for a sofa and that's where I managed to get the sofa and cupboard.
As a housewife, I stay at home with my family, take care of them and bring them to school. That's my job at home. Sometimes I do get stressed with my children but I just remain patient, they're children after all.
Before we got our own home, we were much poorer. We used to take shelter in other people's home and life was hard. I get some aid from grants and vouchers to help me with day-to-day expenses."
- Young mother with 7 children and husband who works part-time. We're sharing stories of our recipients with hopes that we can bring a sense of awareness to the lives of Singaporeans from all walks of life, regardless of race or religion. We hope that through these real stories we can move towards helping one another and supporting one another instead of criticizing each other.
